I’m Elyse Welles, your facilitator and guide to the Sacred Wild. My book, Sacred Wild: An Invitation to Connect with Spirits of the Land, is a top new release arriving in November with Llewellyn Worldwide Publishing.
I am a native Priestess of the land in Greece and the only Greek-born guide teaching the practices of Earth Temple Arts in English. My family comes from Arcadia in the Peloponnese mountains, where for generations we have honored the spirits of rivers, springs, and wild places. My work is rooted in that landscape and in the numina I have visited throughout Greece.
I am an initiated High Priestess in the eclectic Faery Tradition of witchcraft. In my practice we work with agender nature energy and with land spirits. This form of Faery Tradition is not focused on heterosexual fertility systems and is distinct from other Faery paths you might encounter online. I am the fifth generation in my lineage.
My academic background includes an MLSt in Spiritual Studies with a focus on universal syncretism and the modern history of Western spiritual practices. My teachings are grounded in cultural integrity and scholarship and do not draw from closed traditions.
Everything I teach is based on lived lineage, fieldwork across Greece, and the Earth Temple Arts that guide my priestess path.

My first spiritual nonfiction book, Sacred Wild: An Invitation to Connect to Spirits of the Land, arrives with Llewellyn Worldwide in November 2025, with a foreword by Amy Blackthorn. It is a guide to working with land spirits and living in harmony with ancestral wisdom.
My debut novel, What the Water Remembers, releases in September 2025 from Running Wild Press. A paranormal mystery inspired by real hauntings and sacred intuition, it blends witchcraft with ancestral healing and ghostly remembrance.
I’ve been named a Best Poet of 2022 by Free Verse Revolution, and my sacred poetry has appeared in publications including We'Moon, Yellow Arrow Journal, and Myth & Lore. I am a regular columnist for Witchology, Witch Way Magazine, and serve as the Greek correspondent for The Wild Hunt News.
